LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION AT CAMPOST

The   129th edition of   the   International   Labour   Day   in Cameron was   celebrated   under   the   theme   “Building a Cameroon of peace, solidarity and decent work in the future”. A leitmotif for all Campost employees who paid tribute to the memory of Cameroonian martyrs, through their staff representatives.

A parallel has been drawn with the Post Office, one of the oldest institutions in the World, which saw the birth and death of many citizens. On 1 May 2015, Campost employees proudly took part in the March past at the 20th May Boulevard of Yaounde in the memory of these brave men and women.

The General Manager, Frederic FENNI, noted that these are “worthwhile causes”. At the beginning of the speech he delivered at CAMPOST Regional Delegation of the Centre, the GM said: "We will never dissociate ourselves from our brothers and sisters who live in Kolofata, Amchide and Waza areas (...) to preserve peace in Cameroon". Moreover, he seized this opportunity to remind the ongoing projects which require enhanced efforts from all employees. They can be divided into three lines of work, namely:

  • Improving the quality of service of CAMPOST,
  • Completing ongoing projects, among which the E-post project,
  • Setting up the Postal bank and promoting the emergence of new trades

Apart from speeches, there was a really good atmosphere. The 2015 Labour Day celebration at CAMPOST ended in a convivial and festive mood, qualities which are associated with Campost employees.
